What to bring to lessons
Each child should bring a towel, well-fitted swimsuit, and goggles of their preference! We have found that children often achieve higher throughout their lessons when they have the option to wear goggles during their lessons!
All about our pool!
We have a salt water pool, kept at approximately 80 degrees throughout the Summer months.
Inclement Weather Policy
At Karmazin Swim School, the safety and well-being of our students are our top priority. As an outdoor swimming lesson provider, we recognize that weather conditions can impact lesson schedules. Our inclement weather policy is designed to ensure the safety of all participants while providing clarity regarding lesson rescheduling and cancellations.
Lessons may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to:
Lightning or thunder
Severe rain
Strong winds (gusts over 20 mph)
Hail
Any other conditions deemed unsafe for swimming
We actively monitor weather conditions leading up to the start of each lesson and throughout the day. In cases of uncertain or rapidly changing weather, we will make a final decision regarding lesson cancellations at least one hour before the scheduled start time.
If a lesson is canceled due to weather: We will make every effort to reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time. Priority will be given to rescheduling based on availability and weather conditions.
We will never compromise safety for a lesson. If conditions worsen during a lesson (e.g., sudden lightning), the session will be stopped immediately, and participants will be required to leave the water. We will then proceed with rescheduling as appropriate.
Cancellation & Makeup Lesson Policy
At Karmazin Swim School, we strive to provide the best experience for our students while maintaining flexibility and fairness in our scheduling. To ensure a smooth and consistent process, please review the following cancellation policy:
Student Cancellations:
Each child/lesson group will be afforded only ONE makeup lesson due to personal reasons. No other makeup lessons will be allowed.
Please inform us of your inability to attend your lesson within the 24 hours before if applicable. This helps us to move around our busy schedules to better the remaining lessons we have for that day.
If the ONE afforded makeup lesson slot has already been used, and the child misses another lesson due to their cancellation, the remaining material that would have been taught will then be instructed in the child's remaining lessons.
Karmazin Swim School Cancellations:
If Karmazin Swim School needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather or instructor illness, we will make every effort to offer a make-up lesson that works well for both parties.
No-Shows:
If a student does not show up for their scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be considered a no-show, and the full lesson fee will be charged with no makeup lesson provided
We understand that unexpected situations may arise, and we are committed to working with our clients to find fair solutions when necessary. By enrolling in our lessons, you agree to abide by this cancellation policy.
Bathroom Policy
We do not have an easily accessible bathroom near our pool. However, in an emergency, and if we are not actively teaching a lesson, we can give you access.
Registration Policy
To secure enrollment in our swimming lessons, specifically for one child, a $50 non-refundable registration fee is required, which is part of the total package cost. The full fee for 10 private, Red Cross-endorsed swimming lessons is $300, with the registration fee of $50 paid at the time of booking. The remaining $250 is due one day prior to the first lesson. We accept payments via Venmo (Gift), PayPal (Friends and Family), or cash. Please note that the $50 registration fee is non-refundable, and if you decide to remove your child from lessons after enrolling, this fee will not be refunded.
